Setting a Schedule and Coupon Chaos
Well everyone, I now have a daily schedule. Let’s see if I can stick to it. Working from home takes a lot, a LOT, of discipline. Beth and I really want this business venture to prosper, so I need to stick to this schedule for the business, myself, and my family. So far, so good, for today.
I did have to run to Publix today and discovered something you all might find interesting.

If you shop at Publix, you know that they have in-store coupon booklets that contain both manufacturer coupons and Publix coupons. I picked up a jar of Smucker’s Strawberry Preserves and noticed a sign that said there was a 75 cent coupon available in their coupon book. So, off I went to the front of the store where the weekly ads are and also the coupon booklets. Well, there were no coupon booklets. When I checked out, I mentioned it to the cashier, and she said the coupon booklets are now at the service desk. Why you ask? Because of the coupon craze that is sweeping this country! She said people were coming in and taking all the booklets and not leaving any for anyone else. I will just leave it at that and let you form your own opinion. By the way, the cashier gladly took the 75 cents off my total.
And to continue the coupon theme, I print coupons online occasionally at Target.com. Click here to go to their coupon page.

Usually I print dog food coupons, cat food coupons, and cat litter coupons. Well, today I tried to print six coupons, yes just six coupons. I was only able to print three of them. An error message popped up saying I had reached my limit of coupons for my household. Now, that was something new. Guess Target had to change their policy because of the coupon craze. Now, I will again let you form your own opinion regarding this.
I will say it’s sad for those of us who just want to save a few bucks. Hopefully, this is a short-lived fad, and it will go away VERY soon!
Well, the schedule thing worked pretty well today. I’m kind of OCD and need something written in black and white to stay on track. I am very pleased with my progress today, being it was my first day. I did get my leg workout in very early which is a major improvement. I also took our dog for a walk. My post tomorrow will be about that walk and a conversation I had with one of our neighbors.
Here’s hoping you are having a great evening!
Nite!

Changing Things Up a Bit
We have decided our blog is too structured and have decided to change to a more laid-back format. We will still be talking about our business, of course, but will also be letting you all into our everyday lives. We hope you enjoy our rather mundane, although sometimes exciting, lives and hope you learn something along the way.
Last Thursday, I decided our house needed a good cleaning. I used to do this once a week but have fallen out of my routine. I do touchups on a daily basis, but the house was begging for more. So, most of my morning and part of my afternoon consisted of vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, washing, etc. I also washed rugs and hung them out on my new clothesline that my sweet husband put up for me. Well, the actual clothesline is new and the concrete the posts are sitting in is, of course, new. However, the posts are from our previous house. Glad I asked him to bring them.
Love my clothesline!!!
Beth and I had planned on going to the Olde Mobile Antiques Gallery Estate Sale this past Saturday; however, Miss Bella (Beth’s youngest child cat) was not feeling well. So, we decided to just hang around town. We went to Franklin Antiques to look around and for me to buy an Ohio license plate that Beth had found for my hubby. We are both originally from Ohio, and I have been looking for one for him.
Isn’t it cute?! He has already hung it up on his wall in his garage/shop.
Since we didn’t get to go to the estate sale in Mobile, I will post some random pictures of some of the things we have found lately at local estate sales around Pensacola.
Cute, aren’t they? Beth found these little owls attached to some nasty macrame. After cutting off the macrame, the owls were perfect, and they found a home with Beth.
Beth had to have this. Not sure what it is. Maybe it holds incense.
Be looking for this cute little dish in our Etsy shop. We loved it and decided it would be cute on a dresser or something similar. It could hold jewelry or extra change.
We couldn’t pass up this basket of sewing goodies.
And look what we found close to the sewing goodies. We couldn’t pass this up either because we both love vintage sewing items.
And I LOVE these napkins/hankies. Beth says they’re napkins. I thought they might be handkerchiefs because they are SO soft. Anyway, whatever they are, they are certainly very pretty and in excellent condition.
Most of the items pictured will be in our Etsy shop. Be looking for them!
Have a great night!
