Our scarves are carefully sewn on a sewing machine using horizontal, vertical, and diagonal straight stitching to hold all the strips of yarn and fabric firmly in place. They are then zigzagged around all the edges, excluding the fringe, of course. They can be GENTLY hand washed and then hung up to dry.

You can wear them many different ways. Wrap them around a couple of times depending on how long you would like them and how warm you want your neck to be! Or wear them the Parisian way by doubling them and pulling the ends through the loop - as shown in the pictures. They are very versatile and can be worn with a t-shirt and jeans, at the office, or dressed up for a night out.

We have a few more available, but if you want one before Christmas be sure to buy them as soon as they become available!!  They don't last very long!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!! :)

This pin is very versatile and can be worn year-round, especially during Mardi Gras! (The scarf pictured is not included in this listing. Also, picture #5 is a stock photo showing the gift wrapping your item will arrive with.)

LSU flower pin

Our felt flower pin brooches measure approximately 2-1/2" long and 2-1/2" wide. (Please note, our felt pins are handmade, unique, and one of a kind so the size and shape can vary slightly.)

NOTE: This is not a licensed NCAA product. It is, however, handcrafted with licensed LSU Tigers NCAA fabric. We are not affiliated with or sponsored by the NCAA. (Looking for a particular team? Contact us for a custom order!)

LSU flower pin

Our pins are carefully hand-cut from various pieces of felt and fabric, then hot glued together to form the cute flower shape. This pin also has a small fluff of purple yarn to give it a little more sass! A stainless steel pin is attached to the back of the petals so you can easily transfer the pin to your different outfits, handbags, hairbands, jackets, scarves, and hats. The possibilities are endless. They also make great gifts for teachers, neighbors, friends and family! Since the pins are made from felt, the entire flower is fairly lightweight and won’t distort the fabric you pin it to and the layering of petals gives the piece a stunning dimensionality.

For all you LSU fans, this is a great little flower pin. Buy it for yourself or someone special. It comes specially wrapped as seen below. The flower pictured is for representation purposes only.

We can make a matching LSU scarf also. Click here to see a picture of one of our LSU scarves. We will have some available in our shop soon.

Kitchen Remodel—The Beginning

Over two years ago, we sold our house and moved into the house we are currently living in. Our previous home was in a constant state of change and had been completely remodeled. After we had built two nice sheds and a deck surrounding an oak tree and added a pool, after we had touched every surface in the house with either paint or carpet or tile, after we had replaced all the cabinets and moved walls and added walls, after we had added on a master bedroom and master bathroom and walk-in closet, after we had enlarged the kitchen and added a laundry room, when everything was done, that’s when we decided to move. Isn’t that how it always is? Get everything just the way you like it and then you MOVE! It just seemed like the right thing to do, so off we went to our new house and our new life. We haven’t looked back once and are enjoying every minute in our new home HOWEVER…

Yes, you guessed it, we are remodeling AGAIN! Last time we did this, we really didn’t have a way to document our journey, but now we have blogs! What a great way to share what’s going on!

So, this is The Beginning of our kitchen remodel. Our house was built in 1992 and the kitchen reflects that. The only change the previous owners made to the original kitchen was to replace the vinyl flooring in the kitchen with tile. We like the tile; however, the tile wasn’t laid properly and some of the tiles are loose. Also, the tile was laid up to the cabinets and not under them, so there is no way we can keep the tile. So, basically, everything has to go. Please check out the “lovely” wallpaper. Apples, apples everywhere!!! I have never seen so many apples. I think we’ll keep the apple wallpaper. NOT!

Here are some before pictures of the kitchen.

As you can see, when you’re at the sink, you’re looking into a wall.

The refrigerator is like “Here I Am”!

I really don’t need a desk in the kitchen. I have one in our office. Smile  Sorry, Beth.

This picture was taken after the windows had been replaced, so some of the chair rail is missing in the dining area.  We use this area for our dining room table, since the actual "formal dining room" is our office.

Here’s a picture that the realtor took of the dining room area to give you a better idea of what it looked like.

Take note of the opening into the living room. Here’s what it looks like now.

We are enlarging this opening to let in light and to open the living room to the kitchen.

So, there you go, The Beginning of our kitchen remodel. Stay tuned! There will be much more to come.

Have a great day!
